So I had to buy a bag. It was almost a necessary response to the occassion of finding a bag of Blueberry flavored Lays potato chips. Believe it or not they are fantastic! Lori thought differently, but the kids and I loved them.
We find ourselves at a loss for words a decent amount of the time. There are many things that catch us off guard here in this foreign land. This next picture illustrates a recent discovery that caused us more than a few wordless moments.

He always says this when he comes into the house from being out…as in, “kurprise, I’m home!”
“what the happen?”
Canyon says this when he wants to understand what just happened. Lori and I think it sounds like he is cursing.
Just wanted to share will you all out there in the ether that we live in a fantastic place over here on the other side of the world. ‘Why?’ you may ask, do I say that? Because during the lunar new year celebration and holiday you get to shoot fireworks off almost anywhere. They are for sale on many street corners. It is awesome. Wish you were here because it is a blast!
In the picture with the cars, note the glowing sparkles of a lit firecracker…not 12 ft. from busy traffic…wow!
Kate and I got to have a quick date on Saturday. While Lori, Canyon and Gunner napped we went to a local firework stand (Chinese New Year is Monday) and then walked to Starbucks for hot chocolate. Some friends met us so we could all partake of a warm winter treat and some seasonal fiery fun.
